TOPIC: The Underworld of Overdentures: A Deep Dive into Complication and Mitigation 

Dr. Daniel Fenton serves as a Chief Clinical Officer for Affordable Care.  He was born and raised in South Florida where he currently resides with his wife, and his young daughter and son. He attended the University of Florida on full academic scholarship, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He furthered his studies at Columbia University in New York City where he matriculated in their Post Baccalaureate Sciences program. Dr. Fenton was one of five students selected to participate in Nova Southeastern University’s Masters of Biomedical Science program. Upon completion, he attended NSU’s College of Dental Medicine where he received his doctorate degree.

Following graduation from dental school at Nova Southeastern University, he was one of 4 students in the country selected to complete an additional twelve month internship training program in Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital/Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, FL. His experience there increased his proficiency in dentoalveolar procedures such as surgical tooth extractions, 3rd molar extractions, Tori excisions, Alveoplasty, hard and soft tissue biopsies, bone grafting, and dental implant protocols. Consequently, the additional surgical training has increased his gravitation toward the surgical aspect of general dentistry and distinguishes him among general dentists whom perform oral surgery. Dr. Fenton is an extensively trained general dentist who discovered his passion for pre-prosthetic surgery and denture fabrication while employment through the National Health Service Corps following dental school graduation.  His tenure with Affordable Care began in 2013, progressed as a multiple practice owner, and culminated in his appointment to Clinical Director in 2021, and most recently to Chief Clinical Officer in October of 2023.

He avidly enjoys continuing education and has accumulated over 4,000 additional hours since dental school graduation; including the AAID Maxi Course, Misch Implant Education Continuum, Dawson Occlusion Seminar, and hands-on implant training at the Garg Implant Institute; propelling him to reach Fellowship status within The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Associate Fellowship status within the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, (AAID), and Diplomat status within International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) - the highest honor among the largest and most renown dental implant organization in the world. He is currently a standing member of the Florida Dental Association (FDA), American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of Osseointegration (AO), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and Atlantic Coast Dental Association (ACDA). He holds Diplomat status within the International Dental Implant Association (IDIA) and fellowship status within the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP). Dr. Fenton also holds certifications for the administration of nitrous oxide and conscious sedation as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support.  He is a faculty educator at Implant Pathway, The Engel Institute, Biohorizons, and Zest Inc. Dr. Fenton’s passion for training, continuing education acumen, and distinguished credentials has resulted in the cultivation of future implantologists and the relentless support of doctors within the ADI network.

Dr. Fenton has participated in several pro bono volunteer medical missions to third world countries in order to provide oral healthcare to the indigent populations of Mexico, Peru, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. When Dr. Fenton is not spending his time perfecting his patient’s smiles, his hobbies include traveling with his family, cheering for his beloved Florida Gators / Miami Dolphins, coaching little league, playing pickleball, snowboarding, mountain biking, and fantasy football.
