Dr. Joe Trowbridge was born and raised in the Twin Cities in a family of five children. After attaining his Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology from the University of Minnesota in Duluth, he began working as a biochemist. Although this was rewarding, he felt the need to work with people and decided that dentistry was the perfect combination of using science to help others. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Trowbridge regularly attends continuing education to further his knowledge base and stay at the top of his field in dentistry. He has accreditation with the state board for conscious sedation, he is a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and has completed coursework of advanced prosthetic reconstruction through the Dawson Academy. Dr. Trowbridge is also the recipient of the GILL award for excellence in prosthodontics.Dr. Trowbridge is an avid participant in organized dentistry, holding several memberships in dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the St. Paul District Dental Society, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Trowbridge has also served as a delegate for the St. Paul District for three years.Dr. Trowbridge lectures regularly on implant dentistry locally, including the Star of the North Convention through the Minnesota Dental Association. He is also part of launching a support program for referring doctors around the state, teaching them about bone grafting and implant restorations.Dr. Trowbridge is involved with many community organizations, including Community of Hope Church in Rosemount, union gospel mission, Donated Dental Services and the nation wide Give Kids a Smile program. He is married to Amy and together they have two children, Isaac and Nora. His hobbies include golfing, skiing, hockey and playing with his children.
